Steven González ’91 has been elected chief justice of the Washington state Supreme Court by his colleagues. A justice on the court since 2012 after 10 years as a superior court judge, González will lead its public hearings and be its main spokesperson. Formerly Seattle’s top domestic violence prosecutor, he has been a criminal and civil law attorney in the public and private sector.
González will be inaugurated at 9:30 a.m. PST January 11. Click here to watch the ceremony.
