Trina-Thompson

Trina Thompson ’86 has been nominated to a U.S. District Court judgeship in the Northern District of California. The first African-American woman elected to the Alameda County Superior Court, in 2002, she was the presiding judge of the county’s juvenile court. A former public defender who later ran her own criminal defense practice, she is a UC Berkeley adjunct professor in Ethnic Studies and Legal Studies.
