
Savala Nolan ’11, executive director of UC Berkeley Law’s Thelton E. Henderson Center for Social Justice, received the annual Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Keynote Living the Dream Award. An acclaimed author whose insights are featured The New York Times, TIME, Vogue, and other major outlets, she contributed to the Peabody Award-winning NPR podcast “The Promise” and is a sought-after speaker on several social justice issues. Nolan spearheaded UC Berkeley Law’s race and law academic concentration and created a fellowship to support students dedicated to careers in racial justice.
