Professor Harry Scheiber has received the Academic Senate’s Berkeley Faculty Service Award for 2015. Each year, the award honors just two recipients who have significantly enhanced the campus as an educational institution and scholarly community. Scheiber has held many leadership roles in his 35 years on campus. A renowned legal historian and ocean law scholar, he chaired Berkeley Law’s Jurisprudence and Social Policy Program and directed its Sho Sato Program in Japanese and U.S. Law.
