Dean Erwin Chemerinsky recently won the American Bar Foundation’s 2025 Outstanding Scholar Award, which honors stellar scholarship in the law or government. The announcement said his work has “wide-reaching impacts inside and outside academia,” and “a high standard for scholars engaged with the legal community and with public discourse.” The author of 19 books and over 200 law review articles, Chemerinsky writes regular columns for the Sacramento Bee, ABA Journal, and Daily Journal.
