Judge Thelton E. Henderson ’62, a visiting professor and revered alum, provided remarks for the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division’s recent 65th anniversary celebration. He discussed his memorable experiences as the division’s first Black attorney in the early 1960s, including working with Martin Luther King Jr. and others to protect voting rights in the Deep South.
