Dean Erwin Chemerinsky has received the Ronald M. George Public Lawyer of the Year Award, given by the California Lawyers Association to a well-regarded practitioner with high ethical standards who provides outstanding service to the public. Chemerinsky, president of the Association of American Law Schools, was hailed for his work illuminating how the Constitution and the rule of law are vital to democracy.
