UC Berkeley Law is rated the No. 6 best law school in the world by the annual Times Higher Education World University Rankings, up from No. 8 last year. The rankings evaluate universities across 11 subject areas by using 18 performance categories. While the methodology is adjusted for each subject to consider unique academic cultures as well as field-specific research and publication practices, the broad evaluation pillars are teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
