2L Alyssa Meurer received a National Lawyers Guild Haywood Burns Fellowship, one of just five people so honored. She will work this summer with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area’s racial justice team to boost housing rights, end police brutality, and empower communities affected by the criminal penal system. Meurer has worked extensively on mass incarceration issues and criminal record expungement.
