This is a survey course introducing the basic principles of business law, including the study of each of the main forms of business entities. The primary focus of the course will be corporate law, including the characteristics and organizational structure of corporations, and the rights and obligations of corporate shareholders, directors, and managers. The course will also introduce agency principles and other business forms such as partnerships and limited liability companies. No background in business is required.
