This workshop will provide students with an opportunity to be exposed to and discuss ongoing research in law, accounting, and business. At most sessions, an invited speaker from Berkeley or elsewhere will present work in progress, and then take questions from students and faculty in the audience. Speakers will include prominent scholars in the fields of law, accounting, and business. Students will write three short papers, one in advance of each of three of the speakers. A schedule of the speakers will be available at the Program in Law and Economics website.
Course website will be available on bCourses.
Attendance at the first class is mandatory for all currently enrolled and waitlisted students; any currently enrolled or waitlisted students who are not present on the first day of class (without prior permission of the instructor) will be dropped. The instructor will continue to take attendance throughout the add/drop period and anyone who moves off the waitlist into the class must continue to attend or have prior permission of the instructor in order not to be dropped.
