Daniel Schacht is head of the Music and Entertainment Practice Group and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Donahue Fitzgerald LLP. He has had the good fortune of representing top creative talent, including some of the world’s most famous musicians. His technology practice includes representing numerous startups, Fortune 100 companies, and the number one app. His IP litigation experience includes serving as co-counsel in the successful Good Morning to You Productions Corp. et al. v. Warner/Chappell Music, Inc., the “Happy Birthday” class action lawsuit described by The New York Times as “a lawsuit for the ages.” He provides pro bono services to two of Oakland’s Community Benefit Districts and California Lawyers for the Arts. Mr. Schacht is a proud Berkeley Law graduate, where he served as president of both the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and Parents at Berkeley Law, and was a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
