Aaron is Head of Communications & Policy at Square, leading a global team of public and government relations professionals. A former attorney with nearly 15 years experience in crisis communications, reputation management, and legal affairs, Aaron has directed communications strategy for Square’s many corporate milestones over his 7 years at the company, from flagship product introductions, to financing rounds, executive issues, and the company’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in November 2015. In addition to his communications and policy responsibilities, Aaron became the lead of Square’s People organization (comprising HR, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Inclusion & Diversity, and Engagement) in 2018. Prior to Square, he spent several years at Google and YouTube in various communications roles, with a focus on business and public affairs. Aaron holds a J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of Law, and a B.A. in Art History from Yale University.
