Georgia Valentine joined the Policy Advocacy Clinic in fall 2022 as research director of the national Debt Free Justice Campaign. In this new position, Georgia will marshal data, resources, and expertise to develop, implement, and monitor a national research plan to expand and deepen state-level efforts to abolish juvenile fees and fines. She is an alumna of Occidental College, UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, and the clinic, where she supported a juvenile fee abolition campaign in Tennessee and wrote her master’s thesis on behalf of the California Debt Free Justice coalition about state restitution reform.
