WOCC+ People’s Programs Training

People’s Programs is a Black-led organization, founded by Black youth in 2017, dedicated to empowering the community of Oakland through grassroots community programs. “Instead of relying on top-down solutions, we champion bottom-up approaches to address the core issues affecting our community. Our mission is clear: To serve the people, build autonomy, and directly impact Black lives.”

People’s Programs runs several mutual aid programs across Oakland including a free breakfast program, a community farm, a mobile health clinic, and a grocery delivery to West Oakland.
We are working with People’s Programs to mobilize volunteers to work for our community. As Berkeley Law students, we have a responsibility to give back to the community that we take up space in.
 
Join the Women+ of Color Collective on Thursday, October 31 at 1pm for a lunchtime zoom onboarding. Feel free to join us in person (we’ll have lunch!) or virtually on your own (we’ll email you the link). 
 
This is not committing to volunteering! It’s just allowing you to volunteer whenever you want/can.
