Students are strongly encouraged to attend—this is an important conversation you should not miss!
Join Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, and Laurie Mims (Managing Partner) and Ajay Krishnan (Partner) from Keker, Van Nest & Peters, in Booth Auditorium for a powerful conversation about the vital role lawyers and law firms play in defending the rule of law in a rapidly changing world. They will explore the challenges and responsibilities of legal professionals in the current climate and share opinions on the roles that lawyers play during such critical times.
Laurie and Ajay, along with other partners, represent the heartbeat of Keker’s public stance. Ajay is currently litigating an immigration case, pro bono, as co-counsel with the ACLU.
“If the tough, well-educated, smart, financially secure lawyers aren’t going to stand up for the most basic principles of what lawyers do, then I think we’re kind of lost.” Elliot Peters, Partner, Keker Van Nest & Peters
