Public Defenders of Color Panel

Public Defenders of Color Panel. Featuring four public defenders from the Alameda and Contra Costa Public Defender Offices. Join as we discuss their views on diversity in the profession, their experiences, and the strengths and challenges of working in public defense as a person of color. Co-sponsored by La Alianza, MENALSA, WOCC, APALSA, and LSAD.

This panel will bring together four phenomenal attorneys of color from Contra Costa and Alameda Public Defenders Offices to discuss their experience as public defenders, their views on diversity in their profession, and the specific challenges and strengths of working in public defense as a person of color. Students in attendance will have the opportunity to ask the attorneys questions of their own. Questions can also be submitted ahead of time via the RSVP form. Food will be provided.
