Legal Theory & LPE: Grasping Law at Its Roots
Thursday, September 26, 2024 @ 12:50 pm - 2:00 pm
For law students seeking to mobilize law towards just social aims, legal education can prove deactivating. Students enter law school with their eyes on the forest and leave lost amid the trees.
The LPE movement exists to address this. LPE is about re-grasping law as many of us first approached it – namely, as a means for social change. Our goal is to empower law students to comprehend law, precisely so that we can use law.
If you’re interested in learning how to use law for good, come join LPE at Berkeley Law for a conversation with Professor Syed on the role of legal theory in socially purposive lawyering.
Lunch provided! Please RSVP here.
Events are wheelchair accessible. For disability-related accommodations, contact the organizer of the event. Advance notice is kindly requested.
