Please join the American Constitution Society (ACS) and the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law (BJELL) for a conversation with Professor Ruben J. Garcia about his forthcoming book Critical Wage Theory, where he argues for centering the minimum wage as a tool to fight structural racism. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP here by March 4th.
Professor Garcia is a Visiting Professor of Law at Berkeley Law School, and Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Workplace Law Program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. Professor Garcia is a member of the ACS Board of Directors, as well as an elected fellow of the American Law Institute and the College of Labor and Employment Law. He is the author of Marginal Workers: How Legal Fault Lines Divide Workers and Leave Them Without Protection (NYU Press), as well as a frequent contributor to national publications on issues of constitutional law, labor law, and employment law.
