[CDO] 1L Launch: Intro to Private Sector 2L Recruiting

The law firm timeline for hiring 2L summer associates has changed (and is currently changing) year by year, leading to lots of questions that the CDO private sector team wants to address before the heat of 2L recruiting starts.
Come to this CDO program to learn how 1Ls can start the process of strategizing and prioritizing the search for a 2L summer job at a private sector law firm (even if you haven’t confirmed your 1L summer plans or haven’t decided whether a law firm is what you want to do for your 2L summer).
We will be reviewing how to apply (direct applications, Summer Preview Program, Summer OCI, Fall OCI) AND when to apply (this depends on your personal goals and the geographic market(s) you are prioritizing). There is no one-size-fits-all option for this 2L job search.
