BCLT Careers in IP & Tech Law: Life Sciences – An Overlooked Career Path that is More than Patents and PhDs

Wednesday, March 6, 2024 @ 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm

march 6 life sciences career panel bannerOftentimes, students assume that “life sciences” practice must involve patents, and that a PhD is required to obtain one of these positions. Neither is true! Although many students find rewarding careers with patents (and PhDs) in the life sciences, during this panel you will learn about the varied different career paths you can take in life sciences (IP litigation, prosecution, corporate, and privacy), beyond just patents and PhDs.

Join us on March 6, 2024 from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM in Goldberg Room (Room 297, Law Building) for a panel about Life Sciences consisting of attorneys from Latham & Watkins, Wilson Sonsini, Ropes and Gray, and Weil Gotshal!

This program is geared toward 1Ls focused on pre-OCI opportunities, and to the 2Ls and 3Ls who mentor or would like more information on these firms and their approach to associate hiring, training, and development for innovation protection practices. The program helps students understand the differences and similarities between law firms and their tech practices by comparing them side by side.

The discussion will be followed by a reception with light refreshments in Steinhart Courtyard.

This event is intended for J.D. students. RSVP now!
