Acquitted, Convicted, and On Trial for Rescuing Animals: How Civil Disobedience Can End Factory Farming
Wednesday, February 21, 2024 @ 12:50 pm - 2:00 pm
Wayne Hsiung is a former law professor, animal rights lawyer, and convicted felon. For decades, he’s risked his freedoms to rescue animals from some of the darkest corners of our food system. Most recently, he was tried and jailed in Sonoma County for organizing the rescue of factory farmed hens. And next month, he will sit trial again, this time for rescuing beagles from the dog testing industry.
Join Wayne and the Animal Legal Defense Fund this Wednesday to discuss how these criminal trials can be leveraged to free animals everywhere.
Please RSVP for lunch.
