![Event Title: 2025 Stefan A. Riesenfeld Symposium: Lawyer for Peace Date: March 10, 2025 Blurb: The 2025 Stefan A. Riesenfeld Memorial Symposium, organized by the Berkeley Journal of International Law and supported by the Miller Institute, takes place on Monday, March 10 at 11:25 am in the Goldberg Room. Miller Institute's own Professor Laurel E. Fletcher was selected as the 2025 Riesenfeld Award Recipient for her outstanding contributions to the field of international law and human rights. In addition to a day of expert panels and Professor Fletcher's keynote address, former International Court of Justice president Judge Joan Donoghue and distinguished barrister Prof. Philippe Sands will present a capstone talk, “On War, Peace and Other ICJ Matters: A Conversation with Bench and Bar” at 3:35 pm in the Warren Room. A dinner reception will be hosted at the Women's Faculty Club following the capstone talk to honor our 2025 Riesenfeld Award Recipient, Professor Laurel E. Fletcher.
