There are two airports in the Bay Area that are commonly used when traveling to Berkeley:

Oakland Airport to Berkeley Law
Transit: Take the AirBART shuttle bus to the Coliseum BART station, then board a Richmond-bound train to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Berkeley Law is a 20-minute walk or short bus ride (stop 1 to stop 9 on the map) from BART. The total cost comes to $9.50.
Car: There are a number of ridesharing options in the Bay Area, Uber and Lyft being the two most common. These usually cost $35-$60. Each company has its own pick-up area in the Passenger Pickup section of the airport, follow the instructions in the app to find the appropriate place on the curb.
Oakland Airport’s website has the most up-to-date information about taxi and shuttle options from the airport. Oakland Airport has a ground transportation desk that can assist you on the ground once you arrive. Cost for taxi is normally $55-$65; shuttles usually run $65-$70. Shuttles can be reserved in advance.
San Francisco Airport to Berkeley Law
Transit: Take the Red AirTrain line to the SFO BART station. From the SFO BART station, board a Richmond-bound train to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. If you arrive in the evening or on a Sunday, take the Pittsburg/Bay Point train instead, then transfer at the MacArthur BART station to a Richmond-bound train and exit at the Downtown Berkeley station. Berkeley Law is a 20-minute walk or short bus ride (stop 1 to stop 9 on the map) from BART.
Car: There are a number of ridesharing options in the Bay Area, Uber and Lyft being the two most common. These usually cost $35-$60. Each company has its own pick-up area in level 5 of the parking garage. Here is an article showing how to find the correct pick-up area.
Taxi and shuttle options are more robust from SFO, though prices are usually similar to prices from Oakland Airport. The ground transportation website and help desk has the most up-to-date information.

Temperatures in Berkeley in February are normally between 40 and 60 degrees. Usually there is an early morning chill and fog that warms up through the middle of the day, with the temperature peaking in the afternoon.
There is a good chance that it will rain at some point throughout the day in February, so plan to bring a rain jacket or umbrella.
