Human Resources
We support the goals and challenges of the law school by providing services that promote a work environment characterized by fair treatment, open communication, personal accountability, trust, and mutual respect. We are committed to meeting Berkeley Law’s needs by providing the highest level of responsive and confidential service possible, serving as a source of information and expertise. Through these efforts we seek to enable and inspire all employees to achieve their full potential.
Business Services
Berkeley Law is a centralized business environment in which all financial transactions are processed on behalf of faculty, staff, and students by Business Services. We partner with campus subject experts, such as Procurement Services, the Business Contracts Office, Travel Services, the Payroll Office, and the Disbursements Office.
Information Systems & Technology
The Information Systems & Technology department provides computing support for students, faculty, and staff of Berkeley Law. We also provide support for telephone and voice systems.
Building Services
Building Services is Berkeley Law’s team approach to all issues related to maintenance, safety, media equipment, and access to the buildings that comprise the School of Law complex (Boalt Hall, Simon Hall, North Addition).
Communications
The Office of Communications provides a diverse suite of services to advance the goals of the school, its central functions, and affiliates. Our work falls into four broad categories: publications; media relations; electronic communications, including editorial management of the website; and oversight of our identity standards and resources.
Room Reservations
Non-class related use of rooms for events.
Berkeley Law rooms and facilities that are not scheduled for use by classes or class related activities are available by reservation for meetings and other events on a first-come, first-served basis. Only individuals or groups deemed by the school to be consistent with its research and educational mission may rent or use Berkeley Law facilities. Facilities must be used in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, including ADA regulations, as well as in accordance with university policies and procedures.
Mail Services
The Berkeley Law Mail Room provides delivery and pickup of US Mail and other delivery services throughout the School of Law complex. Mail is picked up from posted drop-off points twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Delivery of mail occurs once per day, as soon as it can be sorted after delivery by the US Postal Service.
Berkeley Law Events
The Berkeley Law Events group provides consultation and assistance for complex projects and events at the law school. They also serve as a clearinghouse for information on local caterers, MCLE credit, branded templates, registration pages, and more.
